Description
Munich Malt by Pauls Malt is a dark, aroma-rich malt with deep nutty, malty and biscuit flavours, which provides flavour and colour to beer. With characteristically high melanoidin contents, Munich Malts produce dark, aroma-rich malts with deep nutty, malty and biscuit flavours.
Munich Malt is made with much the same process as Pilsner lager malt but germination is shortened, with some colour formation in germination due to extended recirculation while kilning will be at higher temperatures for flavour and colour development.
Used frequently in German lager, full bodied dark lagers or amber ales. With an EBC of 13-16, you can use a 10 – 60% addition rate to your mash tun.
